Role Summary
The Remodeling & New Construction Plumbing Technician is responsible for the layout, installation, and completion of plumbing systems in residential remodels, additions, and new construction homes. This includes rough-ins, re-drains, re-pipes, and trim-outs. You’ll work with a variety of piping materials and fixtures while collaborating with other trades on job sites to ensure quality, code-compliant results.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking experienced technicians who can efficiently perform a wide range of plumbing tasks, including:
- Perform 1st rough-ins, 2nd roughs, and trim-outs for both remodel and new construction projects.
- Install and reconfigure water distribution and DWV systems (PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, copper), including pipe threading as needed.
- Execute attic re-pipes and re-drains of existing cast iron sewer lines.
- Break and remove concrete as needed for underground plumbing access.
- Set and connect plumbing fixtures including tubs, showers, toilets, sinks, and water heaters.
- Read and interpret blueprints and job layouts.
- Perform basic welding tasks for specific fittings or repairs, where applicable.
- Follow all applicable plumbing codes and safety practices.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with homeowners, project leads, and other trades.
- Accurately document work performed and materials used.
- Handle customer questions and concerns with professionalism.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Work independently or collaboratively depending on project scope.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of residential plumbing experience (remodeling or construction preferred).
- Solid understanding of water supply, drainage, and venting systems.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, job site safety, and best practices.
- Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, and tight conditions.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to stay organized and manage time independently.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus but not required.
